The University of Houston College of the Arts (CotA) was founded in 2016. Prior to its creation, the Arts were housed under the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (CLASS).

One of the major goals of CotA is to focus on interdisciplinary work and the fusion of ideas. The "real world" is naturally interdisciplinary. We are focused on cutting down the current boundaries between disciplines, and generating discussion.
